This policy explains what personal data www.tixaway.com (“Tixaway”) processes when you visit, why, and what your rights are. In short: there are no accounts, no advertising and no tracking scripts on Tixaway, and we don’t sell personal data.
Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is WEBBYS BG OOD, a company registered in Bulgaria. Contact: hello@tixaway.com.
What we process
- Server logs. Like most websites, our server records each request: IP address, page requested, date and time, browser type and the referring page. We use them to keep the site secure and working and to count visits. The logs are deleted automatically after 7 days; we may keep counts that don’t identify anyone for longer.
- Approximate location. Our network provider, Cloudflare, tells our server the approximate country and city of each request based on the IP address. We use it at that moment to show events near you and to show temperatures and distances in the units used where you are. We don’t store it.
- Visit counting. To know how many real people use Tixaway and which pages and ticket buttons they use, the page sends a short note to our server once you scroll, tap or move the mouse: the page address, the referring site, your approximate country and screen size type. Ticket-button clicks are noted the same way. Visits are grouped using a code made from your IP address and browser with a random value that is replaced every day, so we can count visits within a day but can’t identify you or recognise you on another day. No cookies are used and IP addresses are not stored. We keep these counts for up to 13 months.
- Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them to reply. We keep the correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request.
We don’t ask for your name, and we never see payment details. Tickets are bought on the marketplace’s own website.
Cookies
Tixaway doesn’t set advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from automated abuse.
When you click through to buy
When you click a button to see tickets, you go through a link on our site to the marketplace: StubHub or Viagogo, through the Partnerize affiliate network. The network and marketplaces and marketplaces may set cookies on their own websites so that a purchase can be credited to Tixaway. Their own privacy policies apply there. We only receive reports of sales and commissions; they don’t include your name, contact details or payment information.
Why we can process your data
We process server logs and approximate location on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website that shows relevant events (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We process emails you send us to answer them, based on the same legitimate interest or to take steps you request.
Service providers
We use a hosting provider for our servers and Cloudflare for content delivery and security. They process data only on our behalf. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Email hello@tixaway.com and we’ll respond within one month. You can also complain to a data protection authority; in Bulgaria that is the Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg).
California residents: we don’t sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA, and you may ask us what we hold about you.
Children
Tixaway isn’t aimed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we’ll update this page and the date below.
